The comparison of diagnostic accuracy of risk of malignancy index to IOTA simple rules in diagnosing adnexal masses

Introduction: Ovarian cancer is one of the top three deadliest in women and diagnosing this disease still leaves some challenges to overcome. Therefore, study aimed compare diagnostic accuracy Risk Malignancy Index (RMI) International Tumor Analysis (IOTA) simple rules adnexal masses. Methods: A retrospective was conducted involving 29 patients diagnosed with ovarian tumors. RMI IOTA Simple Rules were determined preoperatively compared histopathology examination as gold standard. The both methods analyzed using SPSS.Results: mean age 45 years old. sensitivity specificity 65% 55,5%, respectively. SR 90% values for AUC are 0.342 0.728, significantly higher than (P < 0.005).Conclusions: a relatively useful model characterizing masses, while only performs fairly.
